Traffic through the Strait of Hormuz was closed for a fourth day on Tuesday, choking off a key artery accounting for about 20% of global oil and gas supply. Greece’s Minister of Maritime Affairs and Insular Policy, Vassilis Kikilias, has raised urgent concerns over an increasingly alarming situation in the Strait of Hormuz, where dozens of vessels remain stranded amid escalating conflict involving Iran. Israel Prepares for All Scenarios Amid Ceasefire Efforts

Israeli Defence Minister Yoav Gallant emphasized today that while Israel is not seeking to escalate the ongoing conflict, it is preparing for all possible scenarios. This statement comes as U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken continues to push for a ceasefire.

During a visit to air defense officers, Gallant praised the forces involved in a recent operation in Beirut, which targeted a Hezbollah commander responsible for a rocket attack that killed 12 children and teenagers in the Golan Heights. “The performance last night in Beirut was focused, high quality, and contained,” Gallant stated. He reiterated that Israel’s primary goal is to avoid further conflict but stressed the importance of being prepared for any developments.

Blinken, on his part, has been advocating for a ceasefire, hoping it will lead to a reduction in tensions not only in Gaza but also in Lebanon. The international community watches closely as both sides navigate this delicate situation, with hopes for a peaceful resolution remaining high.
